Post Malone has offered fans another update on his forthcoming album, The Eternal Buzz, with the ‘Chemical’ hitmaker again reassuring fans they wouldn't have to wait much longer.
While performing at the Formula 1 US Grand Prix, the ‘Psycho’ singer-songwriter began by paying tribute to his fans’ loyalty, “I just wanted to say, like, I had mentioned a little bit earlier, for your support over the years. It's the most badass s*** that a man could ever f***ing wish for. And...I love you. Thank you very, very much”.
Post then underlined that his long-teased new project, The Eternal Buzz, is on the way, “I promise I won't make y'all wait too f***ing long for the new record. It's coming out”.
He goes on to hint that the project could feature around 50 tracks, “There's like 50 f***ing songs on this record. Listen in moderation, ‘cause you might lose some brain cells”.
Originally, when Post first shared the title of his next album via an Instagram post in April 2026, it looked like The Eternal Buzz would feature two discs, each featuring 20 songs.
But judging by the New York native's latest comments at the United States Grand Prix, it seems he might have added a few songs to the project since April. Post shared a partially obscured image of the tracklist last week with a few revealed track-titles, but this didn't give any indication as to the updated length of the project.
The rollout for Post's new album rollout has felt chaotic and messy, to say the least, with the genre-blurring maverick attempting to appeal to his older, rap-leaning fanbase again while holding onto the country listenership he earned from 2024's F-1Trillion.
But it's been punctuated by tour cancellations, awkward rumours of unsold tickets and widespread frustration at how early he started teasing ‘Chrome Heartbreaker’, as well as an overarching sense that Post is sending mixed messages to his fanbase.
It's hard to imagine 20 songs of rap anthems about wild, alcohol-fuelled parties and crazy, hedonistic antics sitting alongside 20 traditional country songs about fatherhood and settling down. Can ‘rockstar’, for instance, work on the same album as ‘Yours’?
Having said this, if anyone can meld these two styles and aesthetics, it's Post Malone. We're still incredibly excited for The Eternal Buzz to drop, and we're keeping our fingers crossed Post sticks to his promise of not keeping us waiting much longer.
