Post Malone brought out Blake Shelton for an iconic performance of Blake's much-loved cover of ‘Ole Red’ - made all the more special by the fact that it took place at Blake's Ole Red bar, as part of the Spotify House line-up for CMA Fest 2024.
The Broadway performance took place after Post Malone and Blake Shelton emerged as a surprise guest at the Nissan Stadium to perform the live debut of their forthcoming duet, ‘Somebody Pour Me a Drink’, which is set to feature on Posty's debut country album.
The ‘Ole Red’ performance arrived moments after Post Malone delivered stunning renditions of his hit singles, ‘Sunflower’ and the Morgan Wallen-asssited ‘I Had Some Help’.
Although Blake Shelton took the helm for most of the ‘Ole Red’ cover, Post's decision to instigate the performance underlines his appreciation for classic, storytelling country music.
The crowd greeted Post Malone with an enraptured reception, with rumours of a surprise appearance from the ‘Chemical’ singer-songwriter spreading ahead of the momentous performance.
Thankfully, the speculation proved true, with Post Malone and Blake Shelton hurrying away from the Nissan Stadium to close out an incredible opening day of CMA Fest 2024.
