Noah Kahan's celebrated 2022 album, Stick Season, has now been RIAA certified Gold, with the project's much-loved title-track also picking up a Platinum certification on the same day.
The Vermont native dropped the record in October of last year, before releasing a revamped deluxe version in June 2023, featuring the hugely popular single, ‘Dial Drunk’.
Shortly after, Kahan began teasing a star-studded remix of ‘Dial Drunk’ featuring the genre-blending hitmaker, Post Malone, which was eventually made available on July 17.
Stick Season treads the border between folk, alternative and country, with the project earning Noah Kahan a plethora of new listeners. It draws on the wintery yet comforting soundscapes of fellow alt-folk artists such as James Blake and Bon Iver.
Since the release of Stick Season, Kahan has continued to surge deeper into the mainstream consciousness, with the fast-emerging singer-songwriter taking the stage alongside Post Malone, Zach Bryan and Hozier in recent months.
These two new RIAA plaques will no doubt be followed up with additional accolades in the coming weeks, with ‘Dial Drunk’ widely expected to go Platinum sooner rather than later.
