Just as we had hoped, folk sensation Noah Kahan had yet another surprise up his sleeve for his second of two sold-out shows at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on Saturday (May 25).
Where Friday saw the Vermont native bringing out Nashville's favorite country-rap trailblazer, Jelly Roll, to perform a charming duet of his breakout smash 'Stick Season,' Saturday night brought the ever-lovely Kelsea Ballerini to the stage.
"[She's] a great songwriter in every sense of the word and a great person. You meet people that you respect and admire and hope that they're not asshole," Kahan prefaced as the anticipation built.
"I wanna say this next person coming up is not an asshole. She's one of the most talented songwriters I've ever met. To get 'sticky' on stage with me, it's Kelsea Ballerini!"
To a deafening roar of applause and screams, the country-pop starlet made her way out, wrapping up Nahan in a big hug before they ripped off into the blockbuster anthem, marking Ballerini's second time bringing her shimmering vocals to the track.
Earlier this month, the pair joined forces in Frisco, Texas on the ACM Awards stage, masterfully combining 'Stick Season' with Ballerini's own evocative 'Mountain With A View.' It was one of the highlights of the evening as the originally synth-driven tune from her Rolling Up the Welcome Mat EP got folk-ified in true Kahan fashion.
Their Nashville duet served as a storybook ending to Kahan's two-day stint in Music City, following two pitch perfect performances of song's from the 'Forever' crooner's extensive and dearly beloved discography.
From here, Kahan will be bringing his revered We'll All Be Here Forever Tour to Ohio, Pennsylvania and Indiana before taking the stage at the highly-anticipated Railbird Festival 2024.
