Morgan Wallen's Sand in My Boots Festival is reportedly set to return to Gulf Shores, Alabama in 2027, with Gulf Shores City officials meeting with residents to confirm the news.

According to Foley News, the Mayor of Gulf Shores, Robert Craft, and a number of key city administrative leaders met with local residents at Happy Pappy Coffee Shop for a conversation on a range of topics, including sidewalks and new fitness outlets.

During their discussions, Director of Recreation & Cultural Affairs for the City of Gulf Shores, Grant Brown, reportedly revealed that Sand in My Boots Festival would be returning in 2027.

Foley News reports that Brown also confirmed the line-up would be dropping in November 2026. At the inaugural edition of the festival last year, a host of high-profile artists from across country, indie-rock, rap and beyond took the stage, including Morgan Wallen, Post Malone, Brooks & Dunn, HARDY, BigXthaPlug, Riley Green and more.

After Wallen teased that they'd potentially host Sand in My Boots Festival again during his headline set, Mayor Craft confirmed the door would be left open for a 2027 event at the festival grounds. Although he was specifically referring to a different festival, Sand in My Boots took to social media to clarify that there would be no return in 2026, but that they would be running it back at some point in the future.

Now, based on Brown's reported announcement to local residents of Gulf Shores, it seems like Sand in My Boots Festival 2027 is all but officially locked-in for next year.

Sand in My Boots Festival was widely praised by attendees and local residents alike as an improvement on Hangout Festival, which previously took place on the same grounds in Gulf Shores, but drew heavy criticism and accusations of crowd misbehaviour.

After the blockbuster 2025 line-up can't wait to hear who will be headlining Sand in My Boots Festival 2027. Given the fact that it's Wallen's festival, we suspect he'll be on the bill once more, and with Florida Georgia Line continuing to add more and more dates to their 2027 festival run, we'd love to see them teaming up with Wallen again and performing ‘Up Down’ together for the first time in years.
