Following the announcement of the return of Morgan Wallen's Sand In My Boots festival in 2027, the official festival page has teased another potential headliner.
The Instagram page, or @sandinmybootsfest, has shared a clip of waves crashing on the coast in a pink and blue gradient, with pop-rock group Third Eye Blind's iconic 'Semi-Charmed Life' playing lowly in the background.
The short clip was posted subtly to the festival page's Instagram story. Hinting at who future festival attendees may be able to see come May, the thought of the group's appearance at the Alabama coast festival feels more fitting than one might realize.
Third Eye Blind was formed in 1993, Wallen's birth year. While the group experienced its formative years in the 90s, it is likely that the 'Been By Now' crooner has grown up with the band's sounds around him in one way or another.
On the basis of sound, the group seems to be one that will be sure to get the Alabama crowd excited. With roots in California, it's trusted that the band will be able to bring all the good summer vibes - I mean, who wouldn't want to scream-sing 'Semi-Charmed Life' on Gulf shores?
Of course, a festival lineup curated by Wallen himself offers insight to the country megastar's broader musical preferences. Traditionally, Sand in my Boots festival books headliners ranging from country, southern rap, indie, and rock artists.
After teasing Atlanta-based rapper Gucci Mane in a similar manner, it seems Wallen has selected his rap pick for the lineup. After teasing an appearance from Third Eye Blind, it seems the 'I Got Better' songster has thoughtfully curated his picks for the festival's 2027 comeback.
Of course, we won't be able to confirm these appearances until the full lineup drops - which, by the way, looks to be approaching sooner rather than later. Comments on festival posts suggest headliners will be confirmed in November, but until then, we're betting on a semi-charmed performance.
