This past weekend, Morgan Wallen officially wrapped his blockbuster, two-year One Night At A Time world tour in Charlotte, North Carolina, after an expansive array of electrifying, star-studded performances across the US, Canada, Europe and the UK.
During the final tour-stop on his momentous run at the Bank of America Stadium, which was kicked off with a swaggering walk-out with his band a few celebrators cigars, the Sneedville megastar admitted to the packed-out audience that he's now planning on disappearing into the woods for some much-needed R&R.
While we await the fruits of this period away from the stage - with a long-awaited new album hopefully on the way soon - Morgan Wallen can undoubtedly gain an extra sense of satisfaction during his break from the fact that his One Night At A Time run of shows has been confirmed as the highest-grossing country tour in history.
In the process of achieving this incredible feat, the ‘Thought You Should Know’ singer-songwriter has performed to a grand total of 3,107,695 fans over the course of 87 shows.
Morgan Wallen has taken his eclectic, genre-blending arsenal of hits to ten countries and three continents, with the ‘You Proof’ crooner embarking on his first ever European tour towards the end of August, performing in Sweden, Denmark, Ireland and more.
Although Morgan Wallen has become renowned for bringing an infectious sense of energy and charisma to every stage he charges onto, there have nonetheless been a handful of stand-out moments in Morgan's goalpost-shifting two-year run.
For instance, the ‘Last Night’ hitmaker's iconic double-header at Knoxville's Neyland Stadium, which saw a slew of guests and setlist revisions in honour of Morgan performing at the home of his favourite team, the Tennessee Vols, was an unquestionable highlight.
The same can be said of Morgan Wallen's headlining BST Hyde Park Festival appearance, which was later revealed to be the largest country concert of its kind in the UK. It's safe to say that set will live on in the memories of attendees for many years to come.
Looking back on this tour, which has seen a portion of each ticket donated to the Morgan Wallen Foundation, there is nostalgia and melancholy at the fact that it's over, but the overriding feeling is one of excitement at the prospect of what Morgan will do next.
As we cast our gaze expectantly to 2025, it seems the next time the ‘Cowgirls’ chart-topper hits the stage at a stadium, it will be in support of his One Thing At A Time follow-up album.
With Morgan Wallen now one of the leading figures in music period, who knows what heights he will be capable of once he's released his highly anticipated fourth studio record.
