Morgan Wallen has secured more nominations than any other artist ahead of the 2024 CMA Awards, with the ‘Last Night’ chart-topper securing an impressive total of seven nods.
After what many considered to be a snub at the 2023 instalment, Morgan Wallen is now seemingly in pole position to earn his biggest CMA Awards haul to date on November 20th.
The Sneedville singer-songwriter is up for the most coveted accolade of the evening, Entertainer of the Year, alongside Lainey Wilson, Chris Stapleton, Jelly Roll and Luke Combs.
In addition, Morgan Wallen will challenge for the 2024 Male Vocalist of the Year, a gong that was picked up by Chris Stapleton at last year's event. Given his continued all-genre chart-dominating success, Morgan will surely be one of the favourites to take home this award when the Bridgestone Arena, Nashville ceremony comes around.
Morgan Wallen picks up a slew of nominations for his hugely popular, infectious Post Malone collaboration, ‘I Had Some Help’, which is vying for Single of the Year, Song of the Year, Musical Event of the Year and Music Video of the Year. Completing Morgan's tally of nominations is a second nod for Musical Event of the Year for his Eric Church duet, ‘Man Made A Bar’, which featured on his 2023 album, One Thing At A Time.
Hot on Morgan Wallen's heels is Cody Johnson and Chris Stapleton, who earn five nominations apiece, while Post Malone and Lainey Wilson pick up four nominations each. Excitingly, this marks the first time Posty has ever received any CMA Awards nominations.
The 2024 CMA Awards will take place on Wednesday, November 20th at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena, with the ceremony being broadcast live from 8pm - 11pm EST on ABC, with a repeat being available to watch the following day via Hulu.
