During his final show with Jelly Roll on his Beautifully Broken tour in Nashville, ERNEST brought out his good buddy and country megastar, Morgan Wallen, for a surprise performance.
Morgan emerged on-stage during ERNEST's steel-soaked ballad, ‘Flower Shops’, with ERN hilariously introducing him as ‘Morgan Waylon’, a nod to Jeff Bridges’ faux-pas when announcing Morgan as the 2024 CMA Entertainer of the Year earlier in November.
The ‘Last Night’ hitmaker wrapped his signature drawl around the second verse of ‘Flower Shops’, which featured on ERNEST's debut album of the same name, before the duo switched up the pace and launched into their 808-fuelled 2023 anthem, ‘Cowgirls’.
The latter became ERNEST's first ever No. 1 at Country Radio in July, with ’Cowgirls’ one of Morgan Wallen's five chart-toppers in 2024 - setting a new record for the genre.
Morgan Wallen's unexpected appearance at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena marked the ‘Thought You Should Know’ singer-songwriter's first performance since he was crowned Entertainer of the Year at the 2024 CMA Awards, with Morgan absent from the ceremony. Aptly, the CMA Awards also took place at the Bridgestone Arena.
This link-up continues a storied track record of ERNEST and Morgan Wallen performing live together, with ERN one of Morgan's go-to songwriters and collaborators alongside HARDY. With Post Malone in attendance at the Bridgestone Arena show, fans will be hoping the Posty, ERN and Morgan have been spending some time in the studio together, as the latter hones his eagerly awaited new album.
Elsewhere during the celebratory evening, Jelly Roll brought out Snoop Dogg and Shaboozey, as the ‘Need a Favor’ crooner toasted the final tour-stop on his momentous 2024 run.
