Morgan Wallen is heading to the biggest stadium in America - Ann Arbor's ‘Big House’ - this weekend, and there are widespread reports that Zach Bryan’s record for the biggest single ticketed concert in US history will likely be under threat.

Bryan drew 112,408 fans to the same Michigan venue in September 2025. He narrowly passed George Strait, whose 2024 show at Kyle Field brought 110,905 people to the show. Before Strait, the record had belonged to the Grateful Dead since 1977.

Wallen brings his Still The Problem Tour to Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor on Friday July 24th & Saturday July 25th, with Wallen becoming the latest country artist to test just how many people can be squeezed inside.

It's undoubtedly impressive that one of music’s longest standing records is now expected to change hands for the third time in just over two years, with a country artist taking it every time.

The two Michigan dates cannot be combined for the official record - Wallen must beat Bryan’s total in one night. However, the fact he is playing the largest stadium in the country twice within 24 hours due to high demand is what’s fuelling all the speculation.

Should he simply match Bryan’s crowd on both nights, Wallen would perform to almost 225,000 people across a single weekend. To put that in perspective, that’s roughly 175 times the population of Wallen's hometown.

The University of Michigan Athletics expects the two Ann Arbor concerts to generate around $4 million in net revenue for the university.

George Strait broke a record that had stood for 47 years. Bryan took it from him 15 months later. Now Wallen could take it again before Bryan has even held it for a full year. It showcases both how the health and popularity of modern country as a whole, but also the stratospheric, genre-transcending success Wallen continues to enjoy.
