Morgan Wallen's One Night At A Time tour has been crowned the highest grossing tour of 2023, with Luke Combs’ world tour following close behind in second place.
The results, announced via Billboard Boxscore's year-end listings, highlight the ‘Everything I Love’ megastar's dominance over the genre throughout 2023, which was enhanced following the release of Morgan's acclaimed March album, One Thing At A Time.
Over the course of the year, Morgan Wallen's One Night At A Time tour has pulled in a staggering $230 million, while Luke Combs’ run of shows racked up a tally of $133 million.
Morgan and Luke remain locked in a fascinating battle at the pinnacle of country music, with both artists jostling for the status of being biggest artist in the genre.
At the moment, it's safe to say Morgan Wallen has earned the No. 1 spot, with the ‘Last Night’ hitmaker having earned a plethora of all-genre accolades at the 2023 Billboard Music Awards, including Top Billboard 200 Album and Top Hot 100 Song.
Interestingly, although Morgan Wallen's tour grossed significantly more than Luke Combs’, Luke averaged a slightly higher rate of attendance per set. Morgan brought in an average of more than 30,000 people per show, while Luke averaged almost 34,000.
George Strait proved why he's considered by many to be the King of Country, with the Texas icon slotting in at third position on the list of highest grossing 2023 tours with an impressive $107 million, despite only performing 11 shows in total over the year. Comparatively, Morgan Wallen performed 44 shows while Luke Combs performed 42.
