Morgan Wallen has earned his first ever US Pop Radio No. 1 single courtesy of his momentous Post Malone collaboration, ‘I Had Some Help’, which arrived after a string of social media clips and a momentous live debut at Stagecoach Festival in May.

This accolade follows a‘I Had Some Help’s six-week run atop the Billboard Hot 100 - the longest streak of 2024 - with the uptempo anthem also breaking Spotify's record for the biggest streaming day of all time for a country song upon its release.

Earlier in the year, the hit also secured Post Malone his first US Country Radio No. 1. Now, Posty has returned the favour, helping Morgan pick up his first US Pop Radio No. 1.

The infectious, energising track, which serves as the lead single from Post Malone's forthcoming, star-studded country album, F-1Trillion, finds the two hitmakers trading verses about who should take the blame for a particularly venomous break-up.

Accompanied by a playful video shot in Joshua Tree, California, ‘I Had Some Help’ was, in many ways, the official launch of Post Malone's country era, following a slew of teasers, covers and snippets hinting at an impending foray into Music City.

It's a significant moment for Morgan Wallen, and consolidates the ‘You Proof’ singer-songwriter's progression from a country frontrunner into a global megastar, with the genre-fusing sound of ‘I Had Some Help’ seemingly set to colour the Sneedville native's next studio album, judging by unreleased demos such as ’Love Somebody’.

While ‘I Had Some Help’ becomes Morgan Wallen's first No. 1 at US Pop Radio, it notches Post Malone his sixth chart-topper, following ‘Circles’, ‘I Like You (A Happier Song)’ with Doja Cat, ‘Better Now’, ‘Wow.’ and ‘Psycho’. Somewhat surprisingly, Posty's ubiquitous Swae Lee collaboration, ‘Sunflower’ - the only song in history to be certified double-Platinum - only reached a peak of No. 4 at US Pop Radio.

The continued cross-genre success of ‘I Had Some Help’ ensures the momentum remains high ahead of Post Malone's new album, which is set to feature blockbuster collaborations with Dolly Parton, Tim McGraw, Lainey Wilson and more.

On Friday (July 26), the ‘Chemical’ hitmaker dropped the latest track from his debut country record, ‘Guy For That’ with Luke Combs, which joins ‘I Had Some Help’ and the Blake Shelton-assisted ‘Pour Me a Drink’ as the three F-1Trillion singles so far.
