After sending out letters hinting at an imminent announcement to fans, Miranda Lambert has officially confirmed her brand new album, Postcards From Texas, will be released on September 13.
The tracklist for the highly anticipated project, which will be the Texas megastar's tenth studio album, features previously released singles, ‘Dammit Randy’ and ‘Wranglers’.
Excitingly, to celebrate the unveiling, the ‘Tequila Does’ hitmaker has made her viral divorce-themed track, ‘Alimony’, available immediately. She's been teasing the song across socials and even performed during her California tour-stop this past weekend.
In addition, Postcards From Texas will include an array of never-heard-before offerings such as ‘January Heart’, ‘Wild Fire’, ’Way Too Good at Breaking My Heart’ and the playfully named ‘Bitch on the Sauce’ (Just Drunk)’.
They'll be joined by the title-track, ‘Living on the Run’, ‘Santa Fe’, ‘I Hate Love Songs’, ’Run’, ‘No Man's Land’, ‘Armadillo’ and ‘Looking Back on Luckenbach’, which may be a revamped version of Whitney Rose's classic track, ‘Looking Back From Luckenbach’. Miranda's fellow Texan, Parker McCollum, will guest on ‘Santa Fe’.
Miranda Lambert offered fans a sneak peak at the record by sending out postcards earlier this week stamped with the new album title and clues as to the songs on the tracklist. This rollout technique was also used for the Pistol Annies’ ‘Interstate Gospel’.
Given the buzz surrounding the singles she's released this year, the momentum remains high for Lambert, who is currently out on the road as part of her hugely popular 2024 tour.
We're keeping our fingers crossed she treats us to another single or two ahead of the arrival of Postcards From Texas later this year.
