Australia's loyal fanbase of ‘Midlanderos’ have received some good news this week, with the band confirming they will be heading Down Under throughout August and September 2023.
The new dates have been rescheduled from December 2022, following Midland's reluctant decision to postpone their original tour due to logistics issues.
The Australian tour will take Mark Wystrach, Cam Duddy and Jess Carson to Rockhampton, Brisbane, Tamworth, Canberra, Melbourne, Newcastle and Sydney.
The seven-show run will kick off on August 25, and will feature support from local Aussie up-and-comer, Travis Collins.
Australia is home to an expansive country music community, with Tamworth famously being crowned the nation's ‘Home of Country Music’.
Tamworth's army of listeners will no doubt be keenly anticipating the chance to hear Midland perform anthems such as ‘Burn Out’, ‘Drinkin’ Problem’ and ‘Two To Two Step’.
The tour will be in promotion of Midland's latest record, The Last Resort: Greetings From, which took listeners on a sun-soaked, windows-down cruise down the A1A to a broken-down, heartbroken haven.
The widely celebrated project has spawned hits such as ‘Sunrise Tells The Story’ and the Jon Pardi-assisted ‘Longneck Way to Go’.
