Michael Bublé and Carly Pearce Perform Evocative New Duet, ‘Maybe This Christmas’, on The Voice USA Finale

Michael Bublé and Carly Pearce joined forces to perform their brand new festive duet, ‘Maybe This Christmas’, during the grand finale of The Voice USA Season 26.
Although Michael Bublé has become synonymous with this time of year thanks to his unrivalled array of jubilant holiday hits, ‘Maybe This Christmas’ serves as a more introspective, bittersweet reflection on the challenges faced by many over the Christmas period.
As is the case on the 2024 studio version, Carly Pearce's serpentine vocals inject an extra sense of emotionality and gravitas into the track, before Michael Bublé's smooth, honeyed croons re-enter the fray for the rousing, evocative second chorus.
Against a snow-laden, wreath-adorned backdrop that featured a gigantic doorframe, Bublé and Pearce created the cosy, comforting feeling of being inside with a roasting open fire, as you gaze out the window to see everything covered in pristine white.
After beginning the performance sat on opposite sides of the stage, to convey the feeling of being apart from your loved ones during the holidays, Michael Bublé and Carly Pearce then made their way across the platform to hold each other. This seemingly symbolised coming together with the family the protagonist misses so dearly, as they delivered the heartwarming crescendo to this quietly optimistic duet.
Ahead of its arrival on November 18th, Michael Bublé explained just how special this collaboration is to him, “I wrote a Christmas song for people that might not love Christmas, because they're hurting, because they're vulnerable, because it's a tough time for a lot of people, and I wanted to write something to give some hope”.
Elsewhere during The Voice USA finale, which aired on Tuesday, December 10th and saw Bublé's contestant, Sofronio Vasquez, crowned the winner of Season 26, viewers were treated to spellbinding performances from the likes of Riley Green and Ella Langley, Snoop Dogg and Sting, Dan + Shay, Kelly Clarkson and more.
