Max McNown and Hailey Whitters are teaming up for a new collaboration, ‘Roses and Wolves’, with the momentous duet arriving on streaming platforms on Thursday, December 5th.
It's the first time the two artists have joined forces, with Hailey Whitters having established herself as a prominent figure in the country music scene over the past few years, while Max McNown continues to create a buzz following his viral hit, ‘A Lot More Free’.
‘Roses and Wolves’ is the latest offering from Max McNown's keenly anticipated new album, Night Diving, following the release of ‘Better Me For You’, ‘Hotel Bible’ and ‘Marley’. The full 10-song project will be made available on January 24th, 2025.
The fast-emerging artist teased ‘Roses and Wolves’ last night (Monday, December 2nd), with Max McNown sharing a brief clip of him performing the track across his socials.
Across a bright, optimistic instrumental, McNown croons warmly, “Roses will still bloom in the springtime / Wolves will sing their songs up to the moon / People fall and people love / And people pass on through / Guess tomorrow won't see me and you”.
In tandem with the unveiling, the country prodigy touched on the bittersweet meaning behind the new track, before paying tribute to Hailey Whitters’ contribution, “The privilege of hindsight helps us accept that relationships don’t always last forever. ‘Roses and Wolves’ is written from a place of comfort in the realization that the world will keep spinning and heartbreak is part of life. Hailey Whitters’ beautiful vocals created a unique energy and truly brought this song to life!”
Whitters echoed McNown's enthusiasm, “I was so glad Max asked me to sing on this! He’s an incredible artist and I’m so honored he asked me to be a part of such a great song”.
In addition to ‘Roses and Wolves’ and the already released tracks, Night Diving will include an array of new tracks such as ‘It's Not Your Fault’, ‘Azalea Place’ and ‘Love I Couldn't Mend’.
