Luke Combs Unveils Tracklist for New Album ‘The Way I Am’, Featuring Alison Krauss and a Cody Johnson Co-Write

As the anticipation continues to ramp up ahead of his brand new album, The Way I Am, Luke Combs has taken to social media to confirm the project's official 22-song tracklist.

With Combs having teased a dizzying array of songs over the past few years, including fourteen unreleased tracks via his @lcombs77 burner Instagram account, it was inevitable that some were going to miss the cut. Thankfully, the ‘Hurricane’ hitmaker has included most of the tracks we were hoping to hear, although gems like ‘Pushin’ Up Daises’ and ‘Heaven, Tennessee’ are sadly nowhere to be seen.

Along with the already-released singles, ‘Sleepless in a Hotel Room’, ‘Giving Her Away’, ‘Back in the Saddle’, ‘Days Like These’, ‘15 Minutes’ and ‘My Kinda Saturday Night’, The Way I Am will include fan-favourites such as ‘Wish Upon a Whiskey’, ‘A Man Was Born’, ‘I Ain't No Cowboy’, ‘Miss You Here’, ‘Rethink Some Things’ and ‘Ever Mine’.

The latter, which Combs co-wrote with Hailey Whitters and Charlie Worsham and first performed during quarantine back in 2020, includes a set of vocals from Alison Krauss.

Interestingly, the country and bluegrass legend is the only featured artist on the project. There is, however, a writing credit attributed to Cody Johnson on ‘I Ain't No Cowboy’. Jake Mears is also credited. It has us wondering why Combs and CoJo, who have been buddies for a long time, didn't decide to record the track as a duet.

The ’Beer Never Broke My Heart’ singer-songwriter first performed the song in full during his Australia and New Zealand tour at the beginning of last year, and it definitely has the classic country twang and storytelling intricacy that Johnson tends to favor. Perhaps they're keeping fans waiting for their duet on Johnson's new album, which the Texas native confirmed had been recorded earlier in the month.

Along with a host of keenly awaited odes that Combs has been sharing via socials, The Way I Am - which drops on March 20th - includes a plethora of never-heard-before offerings, such as ‘Daytona 499’, ‘Soon As I Get Home’ and ‘Can't Tell Me I'm Wrong’. It ensures the excitement remains through the roof ahead of Combs’ sixth studio album, with the ‘Fast Car’ chart-topper offering fans the latest preview of the record by dropping ‘Be By You’ on Friday, February 13th 2026.
