Luke Combs Shares Heartbreaking Unreleased Track 'Take Me Out to the Ballgame'

Just ahead of the opening night of Luke Combs' Growin' Up and Gettin' Old Tour on Friday (April 12), the artist took to social media to share a gut-wrenching new song.

In a post on Instagram, Combs can be seen performing his unreleased track 'Take Me Out to the Ballgame' with a stadium setting in the background. It's likely American Family Field in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the star's first tour stop and home field of the Major League Baseball team, the Milwaukee Brewers.

"I’m at the ballpark, so I figured I’d share a new one called 'Take Me Out to the Ballgame,'" the artist captioned his video post. Seated in a chair near the nose-bleeds and strumming his guitar, he delivers the heartbreaking tune about baseball, a birthday and a broken family.

"Take me out to the ball game / Pick me up at the house / What's this every other weekend thing even all about?" he sings in the chorus. "'Cause mama said she loves you, and in some ways always will / I guess maybe things are different now, but daddy can't you still / Take me out to the ball game?"

Whether the tune will be a staple on his upcoming tour setlist or if it will make an appearance on his next album is not yet known.

Beginning Friday night, Combs will kick off his Growin' Up and Gettin' Old trek with a two-night stint at the Milwaukee stadium before embarking on an extensive trek across North American through the coming summer months.

If concert-goers are lucky, they may get even more new music from the star, including his recently teased 'The Man He Sees In Me'.
