Almost one-year on from his now-iconic Stagecoach Festival performances, during which he debuted ‘I Had Some Help’ with Morgan Wallen and consolidated his shift towards country music, Post Malone is preparing to return to the Indio desert.

However, this time around, the ‘Guy For That’ singer-songwriter is headlining California's Coachella - Stagecoach's mainstream sibling festival - on April 13th and April 20th.

As the excitement builds ahead of Post Malone's blockbuster double-header, fans have been speculating as to whether the bearded crooner will bring out any special guests.

Last year, of course, Post's Stagecoach star-studded set was peppered by thrilling appearances from country legends such as Brad Paisley, Dwight Yoakam and Sara Evans.

Judging by a new post from Post Malone's official fan-page, which is run by Post's team, it seems we might be able to look forward to more unexpected link-ups at Coachella.

The Instagram fan-page, called ExtraPosty, began by referencing Post Malone and Blake Shelton's ‘Pour Me a Drink’ lyric, “Been breakin’ your back just keepin’ up with the Joneses?”, before tantalisingly sharing, “Spend your next two Sundays unwinding at [Coachella] with [Post Malone]. Lots of surprises in… store. See you there!”

It's this line - “Lots of surprises in... store” - that has led some attendees to wonder whether Post Malone has a few of his famous friends on-hand for some spellbinding duets.

Given the fact that Stagecoach is taking place the weekend after Coachella finishes, an array of country artists performing at the former may well be in town early. Looking at the Stagecoach bill, there are a host of acts that have teamed up with Post Malone in the past, such as Jelly Roll, Sierra Ferrell and Luke Combs.

Bearing in mind how Coachella remains one of the biggest festivals in North America, Post Malone will have no shortage of candidates that would be willing to hop on-stage with him. With Jelly and Sierra joining Post on his Big Ass Stadium World Tour this year, we think there's a good chance he'll bring these two out for a couple of duets. Combs contributed extensively to Post's 2024 country album, F-1Trillion, so we'd love to see the North Carolina powerhouse emerging at Coachella too.

Of course, it's possible the ExtraPosty comment was simply referring to there being some new merchandise items “in store”, indicating that these will be on-sale at Coachella.

Even if ExtraPosty was not giving us the cryptic hint we've been looking for, Post Malone loves a surprise country duet, so we still think there'll be an unexpected appearance or two - or three! - during the genre-blending maverick's Coachella sets.
