Lindsay Ell has released her new single ‘Hits me’ and shared a visualiser for the track.

The chart topping musician, vocalist and songwriter released the single today (February 8) which has been taken from her latest record heart theory.

Speaking of the track Ell said, “‘Hits me’ is the song that started this whole record. It was the first song that I wrote and knew that I’d written something special.

The first drum hit is where all the magic starts and I think that most people can relate to the feeling of shock that this song is about. Particularly now, given the circumstance we’ve collectively been living through this past year.”

Ell’s sophomore album debuted in the Top 10 of Billboard’s Top Country Albums upon its release last year, and also received critical acclaim in the UK, where Ell has grown a large following after multiple tours.

The Canadian is a triple threat: a guitarist, unique vocalist and inspiring songwriter, Ell's discography has announced her as a force to be reckoned with.

On February 12, Lindsay Ell will perform songs from ‘heart theory’ for the first time in a charity live stream called #LiveRedesigned in benefit for Crew Nation.
