'Tis the season of giving and one country act, in particular, is taking that to heart.
This week, Lainey Wilson is kicking her Heart Like A Truck Fund into high gear, using the platform to make donations to various organizations in honor of Giving Tuesday.
"Each day over the next week [Heart Like A Truck Fund] will highlight and give back to organizations that are close to mine and your hearts," the artist shared of her cause in a post on social media.
The week began with a donation to The Salvation Army, followed by a contribution to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Over the next few days, Wilson will support various fan-selected organizations, committing over $70,000 in charitable funds throughout the week-long initiative.
This spirit of giving was ignited during the star's performance at Dallas Cowboys’ Thanksgiving Halftime Show, a part of The Salvation Army’s 134th Red Kettle Campaign.
The show saw her perform a medley of her latests hits, including 'Heart Like a Truck', 'Hang Tight Honey', '4x4xU', 'Wildflowers and Wild Horses' and even bringing out Jelly Roll for a moving showcase of their beloved collaboration, 'Save Me.'
