Following her enchanting performance of ‘4X4XU’ during the 2024 CMA Awards on Wednesday night (November 20th), Lainey Wilson has released a live recording of the track.
Captured at the star-studded Nashville extravaganza, the arrival of ‘4X4XU - Live’ enables fans to hold onto a digital memento of Lainey's momentous CMA rendition of the track.
Produced by Danny Rader and Aslan Freeman, the newly shared recording of the sweet, truck-themed ode to love showcases Lainey Wilson's stellar, captivating vocal delivery at her concerts, which will be particularly valuable for those who haven't yet had the good fortune of getting to see the Louisiana native perform live.
Lainey Wilson's 2024 CMA Awards performance of ‘4X4XU’ was one of the many highlights from the evening, with Lainey being joined by Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning as co-hosts. Elsewhere during the rip-roaring celebration of the year's best country music, viewers were treated to sets from Post Malone, Chris Stapleton, Megan Moroney, Kelsea Ballerini, Noah Kahan, Jelly Roll, Brooks & Dunn and more.
The ‘Heart Like a Truck’ singer-songwriter took home the coveted gong for 2024 CMA Female Vocalist of the Year, marking the third time in a row Lainey Wilson has triumphed in the close-fought category, in addition to the Music Video of the Year award, in honour of her cinematic, innovative visuals for ‘Wildflowers and Wild Horses’.
‘4X4XU‘ appears on the ‘Watermelon Moonshine’ trailblazer's lauded 2024 album, Whirlwind, which dropped in August and has spawned fan-favourites such as ‘Good Horses’ with Miranda Lambert, ‘Hang Tight Honey’ and ‘Whiskey Colored Crayon’.
The release of ‘4X4XU - Live’ will no doubt give the single an extra boost as it continues to scale the US Country Radio chart, with ‘4X4XU’ currently sitting inside the Top 20.
