According to recent reports, Lainey Wilson will launch a brand new bar in Nashville in place of FGL House, which has unexpectedly closed after opening its doors in 2017. In today's social media announcement, Lainey shared that the bar will be playfully titled Bell Bottoms Up, as a nod to her much-loved 2022 Bell Bottom Country album.

The news arrives in light of FGL House's website suddenly disappearing, with the previous site now redirecting users to TC Restaurant Group, the company that runs the lion-share of artist-themed bars in Nashville, including Miranda Lambert's Casa Rosa, Jason Aldean's Kitchen + Rooftop Bar and Morgan Wallen's forthcoming This Bar.

Prior to the Bell Bottoms Up unveiling, Florida Georgia Line issued a statement on the future of FGL House, “We love being one of the first to have a bar downtown but all great things eventually come to an end. FGL House has closed, to make way for a new unrelated venture. Hope y'all made some fun memories there - we sure did!”

FGL House's closure comes as a disappointment to loyal fans of Florida Georgia Line, who opened the bar and largely inspired the subsequent ripple-effect of artist-led spaces on Broadway. However, given the fact that Florida Georgia Line are no longer releasing music, with the former duo, Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley, now not on the best of terms to say the least, it makes sense to rebrand the venue.

Lainey Wilson's entry into Nashville's themed bar scene is exciting because of the Louisiana singer-songwriter's status as one of the leading figures in modern country music, but the revelation is also being widely celebrated due to this meaning Miranda Lambert will no longer be the only female artist to have a bar on Broadway.

We're still waiting for the opening date for Lainey Wilson's bar, but with the ‘Country's Cool Again’ hitmaker teasing a ‘summer’ launch, it looks like we won't have long to wait before we can sip a ‘Watermelon Moonshine’ cocktail at the Bell Bottoms Up bar.
