It's always a momentous occasion for Opry attendees when Lainey Wilson takes the stage.
But the ‘Heart Like A Truck’ hitmaker's Valentine's Day performance felt even more special than usual, due to it marking three years since Lainey's Opry debut.
Ahead of her set, country star paid tribute to the first time she stepped into the Opry's sacred ‘circle’, and joked that, “Me and the Opry got a thing for each other...we love spending Valentine's Day together”.
During her latest Opry performance, it seemed fitting that Lainey played her break-out hit, ‘Things A Man Oughta Know’, taken from her acclaimed sophomore album, Sayin’ What I'm Thinkin’.
It's safe to say that Lainey Wilson has come a long way in the three years since her first ever Opry performance.
This year alone, Lainey has set a new Country Radio chart record, as well as being announced as the upcoming recipient of the Rulebreaker accolade at the 2023 Billboard Women in Music Awards.
After Lainey's high-energy Opry performance, many audience-members were left wishing she'd return for an encore.
They'll therefore be excited to see that Lainey will be playing at the Opry again in the near future, with the Louisiana native having been added to Reportin’ For Duty: A Tribute To Leslie Jordan, which is due to take place on Sunday, February 19.
