This holiday season, Koe Wetzel is bringing the ultimate party favor: his music.
The artist just announced he will be expanding his 2023 Christmas collection, Wetzel's Wonderland, adding four new reinterpreted holiday classics to the already generous offerings from last year.
The now-seven-track EP will arrive this Friday (Dec. 6), bearing new recordings of 'Twas the Night Before Christmas', 'Run Run Rudolph', 'Merry Christmas Baby' and 'Silver Bells'. They will join the previously released 'Please Come Home For Christmas', 'Blue Christmas' and 'I'll Be Home For Christmas'.
The artist shared the news of the special holiday-centric project with an off-kilter animation involving Santa, a disgruntled Koe and a naughty list.
The artist has a handful of dates on his calendar set aside to support the release, hosting Wetzel's Wonderland Live events following the Christmas holiday and just ahead of the New Year. Fans in Austin and Fort Worth, Texas will likely be treated to this new batch of Yuletide tunes and more come Dec. 27 and Dec. 28.
Wetzel seems to have big plans for the New Year. He confirmed that more music is on the way, telling Holler in a recent interview, “We're gonna come out with some new music. We don't know exactly when. We've got a lot of songs that didn't make the record. We had some songs before that we thought about putting out and just didn't, so we got a lot of music in the vault. We're already writing for the new record. The flame is hot right now, so I guess we got to take advantage of it."
