On a recent episode of the Reid and Dan Isbell-hosted podcast, God's Country, Koe Wetzel sat down with the sibling songwriters to discuss everything from hunting bucks to releasing hits.

While Wetzel regaled the hosts with wild tales of nights in jail or days spent catfish noodling and deer hunting over the course of the hour-long show, the artist's newly released 9 Lives was the main topic of discussion.

"I wanted people to figure out who I was as a person compared to stories they've heard or what they've seen on Instagram," he told the Isbells of the intimate new album, marking the record as the most honest of his past releases.

The 'Damn Near Normal' star even went as far as fiddling around with one of the record's long-lost songs, 'Casamigos,' performing a quick segment of the heart-wrenching track for listeners.

'Casamigos' was originally slated to appear on the artist's recently dropped record. When he teased the track list ahead of the album's release, the tequila-tinged ballad was listed as the third track.

Somewhere along the way, though, the tune was replaced by a cover of XXXTentacion's 'Depression & Obsession' without a word of explanation. Fans caught on quickly, taking to the comments section to address the change.

"Where's Casamigos," came a number of comments, with one fan writing: "Why take a really good song off the album? Come on casamigos is a banger don’t do us like that ugghhh."

Maybe after this podcast performance, he'll release the long-awaited track sooner rather than later.
