Kelsea Ballerini has announced a special one-off performance in Knoxville, Tennessee, with the ‘Blindsided’ songsmith set to take the stage at the Thompson-Boling Arena on November 2 2023.
In a heartfelt message posted across social media, Kelsea explained why this performance - which she's dubbed ‘The Homecoming Show’ - means so much to her.
The chart-topping singer-songwriter outlined, “Throughout the last decade and four albums, there has been a consistent ode to my hometown. Whether it be lyrically like in ‘half of my hometown’ or celebrating milestone moments in venues like my high school, the Tennessee theater, or the Civic Center, it’s always been incredibly important to me to go back to the place that let me go to chase my dream”.
Kelsea Ballerini went on to stress, “Playing Thompson-Boling has been on my bucket list since I was a little kid watching my favorite musicians come through town and is the perfect place to celebrate such a bookmark year and kick off a new level of touring”.
The announcement arrived on Kelsea Ballerini's 30th birthday, with the Tennessee native currently gearing up to deliver a momentous performance at this evening's MTV VMA Awards 2023.
It continues the momentum during what's been a stellar year for Kelsea Ballerini, who recently received two 2023 CMA Awards nominations shortly after releasing a revamped version of her acclaimed EP, Rolling Up The Welcome Mat (For Good).
Tickets to Kelsea's 2023 Homecoming Show in Knoxville, Tennessee on November 2 are on-sale from Friday, September 15 at 10am ET. The hotly anticipated event will feature support from Georgia Webster and Ingrid Andress.
Given the fact that Kelsea's good friend and 2023 tour-mate, Kenny Chesney, also hails from Knoxville and appeared on her much-loved anthem, ‘half of my hometown’, attendees will be hoping the ‘American Kids’ hitmaker will make a surprise appearance during the show.
