Jordan Davis has secured his third non-consecutive week atop the UK Country Radio Airplay Chart, with his uptempo earworm, ‘I Ain't Sayin’, reclaiming the No. 1 spot from Lainey Wilson's ‘4X4XU’ for the frame dated November 29th to December 5th.
‘I Ain't Sayin’ first topped the UK Country Radio Airplay Chart on November 3rd, before being temporarily displaced by Shaboozey's ‘A Bar Song (Tipsy)’ for one week, and then returning to the peak on November 17th. ‘I Ain't Sayin’ is Jordan Davis’ second No. 1 on the ranking, following the success of ‘Tucson Too Late’ in April.
The playful track, which finds Jordan Davis stepping back into the shoes of the flirtatious charmer from early hits such as ’Singles You Up’, is expected to feature on Davis’ forthcoming studio album alongside other recent singles, such as ‘Know You Like That’.
The Louisiana chart-topper has built a strong relationship with his fans on this side of The Pond, with Jordan Davis regularly making trips to the UK to serenade listeners with fan-favourites such as the wistful ‘Buy Dirt’ and ‘Next Thing You Know’.
On the latest frame of the UK Country Radio Airplay Chart, ‘I Ain't Sayin’ accumulated 742,277 impressions, which proved enough to keep Bailey Zimmerman's ‘Holy Smokes’ at bay, with the latter having to settle for second place with 729,263 impressions.
Completing this week's stacked UK Country Radio Airplay Chart Top Five is Blake Shelton's debut release with BBR Music Group and BMG Nashville, ‘Texas’, at No. 3, followed by Lainey Wilson's ‘4X4XU’ - last week's leader - and Morgan Wallen's infectious, Latin-infused new single, ’Love Somebody’, at No. 4 and 5 respectively.
The biggest mover during this period was Brooks & Dunn's revamped, Lainey Wilson-assisted take on their 2005 hit, ‘Play Something Country’, which soared 62% to land at No. 35. This week also saw one new entry from Little Big Town's ‘Glow’, slotting in at No. 41.
