Jelly Roll will soon be joining the likes of Blake Shelton, Eric Church and Miranda Lambert, not just as a hitmaker but as a bar owner.
The 'Save Me' sensation recently shared his plans to open his own bar on Broadway, the downtown strip of Nashville where celebrity haunts arise in great numbers.
He announced the news during an appearance on comedian-commentator Joe Rogan's podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, briefly telling the host of his vision.
"I'm announcing it now, right here," the artist shared with Rogan. "I am opening my bar on Broadway in Nashville Tennessee. Which is a real big deal. You've been to Broadway. It's all after country music stars. I'm the first Nashville native to get a bar."
Called Jelly Roll's Goodnight Nashville, the venture will be, in part, inspired by Rogan's own establishment, the Comedy Mothership, located in Austin, Texas. The comedy club features Mitzi's Bar and Lounge, a space dedicated to stand-up pioneer Mitzi Shore. The artist will have a similar space called Buddy's, a back bar area celebrating his late father.
"It was completely inspired from what you have done at Mitzi's," Jelly Roll told the podcaster. "Our rule is it's open to the public when it is, and it's not when it's not."
Neither a timeline nor a location of the forthcoming Goodnight Nashville have yet to be revealed.
