Jelly Roll continued his blockbuster 2024 Beautifully Broken tour with a momentous, star-studded set in Los Angeles, California, featuring MGK, Jessie Murph and Wiz Khalifa.
As well as delivering all his biggest hits to date, from the introspective, reflective ballad, ‘Save Me’, to the soul-stirring, anthemic Country chart-topper, ‘Need a Favor’, Jelly Roll treated the packed-out LA crowd to an array of unexpected duets.
Jelly Roll teamed up with his good buddy, MGK, to perform ‘Lonely Road’, their viral, genre-blending spin on John Denver's iconic 1971 hit, ‘Take Me Home, Country Roads’.
As is always the case when these two mavericks hit the stage together, Jelly and MGK's chemistry radiated throughout their rousing performance of the heartbroken track.
In addition, Jelly Roll joined forces with country-pop up-and-comer, Jessie Murph, for a playful take on their 2023 fan-favourite, ‘Wild Ones’. The uptempo offering appears on Murph's debut album, That Ain't No Man That's The Devil, which dropped on Friday (September 6), alongside ‘Someone in This Room’ with Bailey Zimmerman.
It's not the first time Jelly has brought out Jessie Murph, with the duo linking up to perform the popular collaboration on a number of occasions over the past year or so.
The third of Jelly Roll's triumvirate of special guests was perhaps the most surprising, with Wiz Khalifa emerging on-stage to perform his 2011 smash, ‘Black and Yellow’, with Jelly.
The electrifying concert also featured spellbinding performances of ‘I Am Not Okay’ and ‘Liar’, both of which will appear on Jelly Roll's new studio album, Beautifully Broken. His sprawling tour of the same name is ensuring the sense of anticipation remains sky-high ahead of the forthcoming project, which drops on October 11th, 2024.
