Jelly Roll & Tyler Childers Nab First-Ever Nominations for the 2024 ACM Awards

Amidst the usual suspects unveiled in the nominees for the 2024 ACM Awards, fans were delighted to see a number of new faces and first-time nominees secure their nods for the May 16th show.

Among the most triumphant is genre-bending maverick, Jelly Roll, who nabbed an impressive four awards, including for the highly coveted crown jewel of the night, the Entertainer of the Year.

Nominated alongside heavy hitters like Morgan Wallen, Luke Combs, Lainey Wilson, Cody Johnson, Kane Brown and reigning winner, Chris Stapleton, it'll be quite the competition as we wait to see who will emerge victorious.

Elsewhere, the 'Son of a Sinner' hitmaker will also be vying for Male Artist of the Year, Single of the Year ('Need A Favor') and Music Event of the Year ('Save Me' featuring Lainey Wilson).

These first-time nominations for Jelly Roll come just days after he cleaned house at the 2024 CMT Music Awards. Taking home three trophies for Video of the Year, Male Video of the Year and CMT Performance of the Year, he repeated his first-ever award show experience in 2023, which also saw him secure a trio of trophies in Austin, Texas.

We will have to wait and see if that luck extends two hundred miles north in Frisco!

Also receiving a first-time nomination is Kentucky crooner Tyler Childers, who in 2023, released his utterly moving music video for recent single 'In Your Love'. The video, which was directed by Bryan Schlam and has brought many a country music fan to tears, is up for the Visual Media of the Year award.

Across the highly-anticipated event, there are several others artists enjoying their first tips of the hat, including Kassi Ashton, Ashley Cooke, Hannah Ellis, Flatland Cavalry, Kameron Marlowe, Kylie Morgan and Conner Smith.

Additionally, the ACMs are ushering in the return of the New Duo/Group category for the first time since 2018. The hopefuls battling it out for the honor will be Tigirlily Gold, Restless Road and Neon Union.

Broadcasting live from Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas, the 2024 awards ceremony will stream exclusively across more than 240 countries and territories on Prime Video on Thursday, May 16 at 7pm CT.
