“It's Cold Out Here!”: Kelsea Ballerini Jokes About Sliding into Chase Stokes’ DMs in New Interview

In a light-hearted new video interview with Cosmopolitan, Kelsea Ballerini has offered an endearingly self-deprecating take on what it's like being in the dating world as a celebrity.

The ‘Baggage’ singer-songwriter has always been open about how she met her partner of over two years, Chase Stokes, with Kelsea Ballerini sending him a DM reading “hi, Chase Stokes”.

In the new clip, Kelsea Ballerini reads out the question card handed to her, “You met your boyfriend, Chase Stokes, by sliding into his DMs. Name one celeb who sent you a flirty DM...”

Hilariously, Kelsea Ballerini jokes, “Not a single one. Not a single one. Trust me, if I had tea, I'd spill it! At this point, look at me! What do I have to lose? No, no, no. Nope. No-one”.

The Tennessee crooner goes on to make light of the fact that she made the first move with Chase Stokes, quipping, “That's why I was shooting shots. I was like, ‘It's cold out here!’”

Elsewhere during her discussion with Cosmopolitan, Kelsea Ballerini revealed which celebrity she felt let down by when she first met them - Vannessa Hudgens. However, Ballerini stressed that they crossed paths at a later date and had a better rapport. The ‘Peter Pan’ chart-topper also offered a tongue-in-cheek ranking of her fellow The Voice USA judges, Adam Devine, John Legend and Michael Bublé.

Kelsea Ballerini is currently in the middle of her hugely popular 2025 Patterns Tour, with the ‘Penthouse’ hitmaker gearing up for shows in North Carolina, Florida, Texas and more.
