After spending the first couple of months of 2025 debuting unreleased songs in New Zealand and Australia, Luke Combs has offered fans a tantalising update about his next album.

There's no title or release date just yet, but the North Carolina powerhouse has confirmed the keenly awaited project is underway, with Combs taking to X to tease a new chapter.

The ‘Where The Wild Things Are’ chart-topper has outlined, “I’ve been spending the last couple of weeks working on what my next record looks like and as it begins to take shape I can honestly say I’ve never felt better about one at this stage”.

Excitingly, Luke Combs has revealed just how much he's looking forward to sharing his next body of work with fans, with the country titan even hinting that his new album could end up surpassing anything else in his formidable catalogue, “It’s early on but I really do think it could wind up being the best record I’ve ever made”.

Of course, you'd hope that every artist feels this way as they get to work on a new project, with each album treated as though it could be the jewel in their discography's crown.

Luke Combs possesses some of the best and most successful albums in the contemporary country era, with the likes of This One's For You and What You See Is What You Get being championed by critics and fans alike as touchstones for today's sound.

Even so, given how authentic and sincere Luke Combs is, this new declaration feels particularly promising. Judging by the songs the ‘Hurricane’ singer-songwriter has been teasing on the road, such as ’Wish Upon A Whiskey’ and ‘Ain't No Cowboy’, it certainly feels as though we're heading into another stellar album rollout from Combs.

This will mark the first project from the former CMA Entertainer of the Year since his much-loved Fathers & Sons record, which arrived on Father's Day (June 14th) last year.
