Hailey Whitters’ ascent into the country music mainstream has been solidified in recent months, with the Iowa prodigy making a series of national TV appearances.
The latest of these is a high-profile performance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, with Whitters taking the stage alongside her band to deliver a special live version of ‘Plain Jane’.
Unsurprisingly, Hailey Whitters’ produced a faultless rendition of the slow-burning self-love anthem, which is one of the many highlights from her acclaimed 2022 album, Raised.
‘Everything She Ain't’ is her usual song of choice when appearing on TV, with Whitters having performed the Gold-certified single on NBC's Today's Show and Jimmy Kimmel Live.
In a similar vein to ‘Everything She Ain't’, ‘Plain Jane’ finds Hailey Whitters doubling down on her down-home roots and the way she was raised, swaggeringly brushing off any criticism that comes her way (“Love me or hate me, take me or leave me / But don't try and change me, I'm cool with the way I am”.
Although Hailey Whitters does not tend to perform ‘Plain Jane’ during her TV appearances, fans have been glad to see the song becoming a regular feature in her 2023 setlist.
The rising star is currently gearing up for a blockbuster run of support slots on tour with Shania Twain, Eric Church, Luke Bryan, and Dierks Bentley, during which attendees will be hoping to hear Whitters serenading the crowd with both ‘Plain Jane’ and ‘Everything She Ain't’.
