One of country's newest prodigies, Griffen Palmer, has announced he'll be releasing his debut album, Unlearn, on April 28.
In tandem with the big reveal, the Canadian singer-songwriter made the project's smooth, heartwarming title-track available immediately.
‘Unlearn’ finds Palmer returning to the happily-ever-after story of ‘Second Guessing’, as he details how his lover has shown him a path he never knew was available (“We aren't fighting enough / We aren't drinking too much / We aren't screaming and shouting and slamming the door / Something must be wrong with us”).
He then professes that he's got a lot to ‘unlearn’ from comparatively troubled past relationships.
Unlearn will also include Palmer's two other recently released singles, ‘25 To Life’ and ‘Second Guessing’.
The latter was originally recorded by country chart-toppers, Florida Georgia Line, for their 2021 album, Life Rolls On, after Palmer presented the song on NBC's Songland.
Florida Georgia Line's Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley loved the track, and worked with Palmer and a handful of other top songwriters to hone the endearing, lovestruck ballad.
Shortly after being unveiled as one of Big Loud Records’ latest signings, Griffen Palmer released his own version of ‘Second Guessing’ in January, which he quickly followed up with ‘25 To Life’, another sweet ballad pivoting around a witty, Nashvillian punchline.
Palmer's new record, Unlearn, will also feature an array of previously unheard tracks, including ‘Put Me Through Hello’, ‘Small Town After All’, ‘Came Here To Leave’ and ‘Bottles On The Table’.
The rising star is currently in the middle of a nationwide tour alongside Lauren Watkins in support of Lily Rose, with dates lined up in both Columbus, Ohio and Houston, Texas.
