Ahead of her newly unveiled London, UK show, fast-emerging Boulder, Colorado singer-songwriter, Sophia Scott, sits down with Holler to discuss her forthcoming performance.
The ‘She Ain't Me’ crooner will bring her array of swaggering, playful anthems to the Colours Hoxton stage for what's already shaping up to be an unmissable UK country event.
Whether Sophia Scott is playing the rowdy, tongue-in-cheek ‘Boots, Jeans & Jesus’ or her ethereal, spellbinding latest single, ’Wildflowers’, the one-off UK date will provide another chance to strengthen ties with Scott's burgeoning fanbase across The Pond.
It follows an impressive appearance at C2C Festival 2024, with Sophia Scott showcasing her intricate lyricism and her ear for an infectious, earworm hook throughout the weekend.
Now, following this successful series of performances, Sophia Scott underlines how much she is looking forward to playing in front of a UK audience once again, “[I'm] so excited! London was arguably the best audience I’ve ever had so I can’t wait to be back”.
She went on to hint at what attendees can expect from the show, confirming that there will be “lots of upbeat party songs! We want to get the crowd dancing. But also we have our healing era moment for anyone that needs to get through some heartbreak”.
Sophia Scott's Colours Hoxton stop will be a solitary show, rather than a complete UK tour. As for why, Scott explains, “It really just kind of worked out that way because I happened to be in town for another gig. I wish it was a full tour”. We're keeping our fingers crossed Scott announces a lengthier run of UK performances soon.
Eagled-eyed fans will have noticed that Sophia Scott has been taking to her socials to tease that new music is on the horizon. One unreleased demo in particular, ‘Buy A Round’, has struck a chord with listeners, with Scott's followers clamouring for an official release. Tantalisingly, it seems they won't have to wait too long.
When asked about the prospect of new music, Scott assures us she has plenty in store, “Yes! ‘Buy A Round’ comes out sooner than you think...More songs and possibly an album to come…”
With ‘Buy A Round’ and a full-length project seemingly on the way, in addition to the Colours Hoxton show, it's safe to say there's plenty to look forward to for Sophia Scott's loyal fanbase.
