Exclusive: Josh Turner Readies His New Album, 'This Country Music Thing,' for Release on August 16

One of country music's favorite deep-voiced crooners is on his way back into the limelight!

MCA Nashville recording artist, Josh Turner, has exclusively unveiled to Holler that his 2024 effort, This Country Music Thing, will be dropping on August 16, marking his 10th album to date.

Helmed by longtime producer Kenny Greenberg, the project features 11 new songs from the hitmaker, three of which Turner had a hand in penning himself, as well as cuts from some of the genre's most in-demand storytellers, like Rhett Akins, Will Bundy, Jon Nite, Luke Laird, Chase McGill, Jon Randall and more.

Ringing in the news, Turner will release the album's lead track, 'Down in Georgia,' on Friday (June 21). Starting the project off with a heavy dose of southern comfort, the new tune follows his previously released 'Heatin' Things Up,' which quickly caught fire in April upon its release.

Touting multiple nominations for GRAMMYs, CMA Awards, ACM Awards and more, as well as a GMA Dove Award trophy for Bluegrass/Country/Roots Recorded Song of the Year ('I Saw The Light' feat. Sonya Isaacs), Turner's been steadily churning out hits for the last two decades. Throughout his discography, the South Carolina native has treated fans to a slew of timeless songs like 'Long Black Train,' 'Firecracker,' 'Would You Go With Me,' 'Why Don’t We Just Dance' and his career-defining No. 1, 'Your Man.'

With any luck, this new batch of songs will continue to build on Turner's already illustrious career full of country music gold.

Following his recent spectacular showing on the Nissan Stadium main stage during CMA Fest 2024, the seasoned entertainer is currently booked and busy on his The Greatest Hits Tour, spanning coast to coast and making stops in Iowa, Oregon, California, New York, Texas, Wisconsin, Arizona, Pennsylvania, Maine, Indiana and many more through the end of the year.
