While over in the UK for his high-profile Jags Country Wembley Arena performance, Brian Kelley spoke to Holler about his plans for new music and some potential collaborations in the works.

Having previously cited Garth Brooks and Kenny Chesney as two of his main musical idols, we posed the question as to whether a duet with either would be on the cards in the near future.

With a chuckle, BK responded, “I would never turn down Garth or Kenny - they're always welcome on my project! Is that gonna happen? I don't know...we'll see!”

The Sunshine State Of Mind crooner then went on to tease an upcoming collaboration, seemingly set to feature on another artist's project, “I'm working on something that I don't know if I can talk about - another kind of collaboration...we'll see how that turns out. We're still waiting on an updated mix...”

As for his sophomore solo album, which is due to include his two recent singles, ‘Dirt Cheap’ and ’See You Next Summer’, Brian Kelley outlined, “I've got an artist or two in mind that I could hear hopping on one of my new songs. I think Riley Green would fit great on one of them”.

BK stressed that he wants any collaborations to arise naturally, rather than seeking them out, “I honestly haven't put too much thought into it, I kind of go off gut and feeling. When I'm jamming these mixes, I don't want to sit around and be like, ‘I love this person, let's force this song on this situation’. I want to be caught in the moment of inspiration where you're jamming and you go, ‘Aw snap! That person would be great’...And I think that's more authentic to my personality and how I'd like it to happen”.

As was evident throughout the conversation with Brian Kelley, which covered topics such as the reasons behind Florida Georgia Line's split, there seems to be an underlying sense of gratitude and acceptance that flows through every decision the Florida native makes.

For instance, Kelley cherishes the fact that he's been able to join forces with a star-studded roster of artists in the past, including Justin Bieber, Bebe Rexha, Jason Derulo, Luke Bryan and more.

“We've been very fortunate to be a part of some huge, massive collaborations. So when it works, I'm definitely open-minded and definitely down to make that happen - and I'm also okay if it doesn't!”

With a twinkle in his eye, the self-professed ‘Beach Cowboy’ concluded by quipping, “I can be the lone ranger...”.
