Noah Kahan knows what he's doing...
The Vermont native continues to light-heartedly play on fans’ anticipation ahead of his Stick Season (Forever) follow-up album. Over the past few months Kahan has been taking to socials to joke about how long it's taking him to finish the new record.
Now, though, it seems things are picking up pace, with the ’Northern Attitude’ hitmaker sharing a new photo from the studio via his Instagram Story. On the subsequent Story, also captured in the studio, Kahan confirms that he shares his listeners’ enthusiasm for new music, quipping, “I just want this s*** out so bad hehe”.

It's been over three years since we last got a full-length studio album from Kahan, with the folk titan dropping Stick Season back in October 2022. He's kept us well-fed in the meantime, though, releasing a flurry of star-studded, reimagined duets and two stellar deluxe versions of the record. But now, we're hoping it's almost time for another body of work - and judging from his teasers, it's fast-approaching.
Aside from this latest studio shot, Kahan has been keeping us updated on the progress of his next album via socials, sharing, “This album is going to slap so hard” in one recent post, and hilariously making light of the lengthy wait, “I wanna release new music so bad but I toured for 300 years be patient yall I'll be making you sad and feel contemplative about things for no reason real soon”, in another.
Similarly, during one of his September 2025 tour-stops, Kahan confirmed he was “almost done” with the album, revealing that he has around two more songs left to finish.
He's been sharing snippets of unreleased tracks throughout the year, even incorporating some into his setlist, such as ‘Deny, Deny, Deny’, ‘The Great Divide’, ‘Pain is Cold Water’, ‘As You Were’, ‘Nothing To Report’, ‘Doors’ and ‘All Them Horses’.
We're hoping ‘Nothing To Report’ may be Kahan's long-rumoured Lewis Capaldi collaboration, with the duo repeatedly hinting that they have a joint track up their sleeves.
Either way, whichever songs make the cut for Kahan's next project, we're sure it'll be well worth the wait, with the ‘Orange Juice’ crooner continuing to cement himself as one of the most popular, versatile and inspiring artists in today's folk landscape.
