Ella Langley dominates yet another national streaming chart with her global hit, 'Choosin Texas.'
The past week for the U.K.'s Official Singles Chart has been nothing short of electric as singles from multiple major artists were subject to rise and fall with the chart's rapid data collection based on U.K. sales and streams.
In the end, however, Langley, whose no stranger to topping U.S. charts such as the Billboard Hot 100, ultimately achieved that No. 1 spot on the U.K. Official Singles Chart, outpacing artists such as Hugel and Sienna Spiro.
While the song experienced relatively immediate success on U.S. charts, 'Choosin Texas' had to become something of an acquired taste for the vast majority of U.K. listeners, before putting it on the map at No. 1.
After the song's release in October 2025, 'Choosin Texas' climbed its way to No. 78 on the list in January, before breaking into the top 40 in February, top 20 in April, then spending five weeks in the chart's top 10 between July and August, peaking at No. 3.
The additional chart-topping feat under Langley's belt is just another testament to her groundbreaking success as the star continues to make country music history. The multiple No. 1 rankings across the U.S. for the 'Weren't for The Wind' crooner are nearly unbelievable for any country artist, let alone having that artist break through internationally to Langley's degree.
The outreach the song has to its U.K. listeners here show the commercial success of the genre and prove Langley's hit continues to break barriers across the globe. Something that country singers too few and far in between actually tend to accomplish, Morgan Wallen being one of the first of a 21st century age to help the genre grow in popularity internationally.
This being said, another chart accomplishment such as this is just another factor to why Langley is the proud holder of the biggest country song and, arguably, biggest act of the year. All it took was one singular break through such as this in the U.K., and now that it's there on its No. 1 throne, the last question that remains is if the song can maintain the consistency on the chart as it has on runs such as the nearly 21-week Billboard Hot 100 stretch - and here at Holler, we're betting it will.
