During a conversation with Holler in London, Ella Langley reflects on her dream collaborations, with the ‘Choosin’ Texas’ singer-songwriter citing genre-blurring titans Miley Cyrus, Chris Stapleton and Stevie Nicks at the top of her list of ideal duet partners.

While in the UK in 2024 for her BST Hyde Park set opening for Morgan Wallen and Riley Green, Langley sat down with Holler to discuss the creative process behind ‘Don't Mind If I Do’, as well as touching on a few of the artists she admires the most.

Langley underlines that her priority is teaming up with some of the leading female artists in the contemporary country music landscape, “There will probably always be collaborations on the horizon...We're going to switch it up and do some female collaborations soon. There are so many amazing females in town that I just believe in, and I want to work with and sing with and write songs with”.

Since this interview, the Alabama native has joined forces with Miranda Lambert for the soothing, introspective ‘Butterfly Season’, one of our favourites from Langley's new album, Dandelion. The quietly hopeful and soothing offering finds Langley and Lambert - who co-produced the record with Ben West - touching on the obstacles they've faced in recent years, before triumphantly declaring that this next chapter of their stories will be defined by self-love and acceptance.

Langley is also a close friend and regular champion of fast-emerging artists like Emily Ann Roberts, Mae Estes and Kaitlin Butts, with the latter even making a high-profile cameo in the ‘Be Her’ hitmaker's cinematic ‘Choosin’ Texas’ music video earlier in April. We'd love to see duets between Langley and all these artists down the line.

Later in her interview with Holler, Langley names her all-time dream collaborations, “Miley Cyrus has always been one. I would do anything just to sit in a room and talk to her. Chris Stapleton and Stevie Nicks...We live in a world where there's a lot of famous people constantly, and so you kind of get used to that”, before admitting, “But I think Stevie Nicks or Chris Stapleton would be the ones where they walk the room, and I would probably not be able to utter a sentence”.

It's safe to say a lot of us would be the exact same if we found ourselves in a situation where we were face-to-face with our idols. However, now that Langley has cemented herself as one of the biggest artists of 2026, with ’Choosin’ Texas’ having just spent a sixth week atop the Billboard Hot 100 at the time of writing, we hope that the ‘Loving Life Again’ crooner is in a space where she would back herself and have the confidence to hold a conversation with Cyrus, Stapleton or Nicks.

We also hope that at least one of these collaborations comes to fruition in the near future. With Langley holding her own atop the all-genre rankings, we have no doubt that the ‘Bottom Of Your Boots’ trailblazer's DMs will be overflowing with duet requests.
