Drew Baldridge has shared an endearing video of him gifting Cody Johnson a saddle, as a special thank-you to the ‘I'm Gonna Love You’ hitmaker after bringing him out on tour.

During Drew Baldridge's final stop opening for Cody Johnson on the latter's Leather Deluxe Tour, Baldridge ordered a custom-made saddle with ‘CoJo’ and ‘The Leather Deluxe Tour’ etched on the side, with Johnson visibly moved by the thoughtful present.

In a new video shared across his socials, Drew Baldridge captures Cody Johnson's heartwarming reaction to his gift, “Cody had me out here, he didn't have to do it. Super kind of him. So I decided I was going to get him an end-of-tour present. We've only got one more show with him. Check this out, this is the saddle right here...”

The ‘She's Somebody's Daughter’ chart-topper then brings Cody Johnson in to see the saddle, with the Texan - who owns a ranch and is an avid horse-rider - expressing his gratitude, “Dude, that's not like a small gift. That's freaking...that's awesome, man”.

The attention to detail on the present was undoubtedly impressive, with Drew Baldridge even managing to find out the right saddle-size for Cody Johnson - 14 and a half inches.

Cody Johnson emphasised that this wouldn't be a gift he simply hangs up or leaves lying around - it'll get plenty of use, with CoJo joking, “This sucker might get thrown on a horse when I get to the house. Dude, that is bad to the bone...metal stirrups!”

When Drew Baldridge casually mentioned that it had been made by a company in Cody Johnson's beloved home-state of Texas, Teskey's, Johnson was clearly overjoyed. Cody Johnson regularly professes his pride at being from the Lone Star State, with Johnson also highlighting how much he loved the rawhide design on the saddle.

As for the silhouetted image on the front of the wooden bust, on which the saddle was resting, Baldridge explained that a fan designed it for him, “This came from a girl in North Carolina I found on Etsy, and I was just like, ‘Hey, do you think you could do this for me?’ She freaked out, her little girl rides horses, and she was like, ‘We're big Cody Johnson fans. This will be so cool’...This is actually you on your horse”.

Cody Johnson stressed again how thankful he was for the present, “Dude, that's a sweet gift. You did not have to do that”, before Drew Baldridge underlined why he felt compelled to organise it for him, after CoJo chose him as his opener, “Well I'm appreciative. This is my first ever arena tour, I wouldn't be in here without you. I appreciate it. This is life-changing for me, so I had to get you something”.

Drew Baldridge continues to cement himself as one of Nashville's ‘Artists to Watch’, after he became the first independent artist in country music history to achieve a No. 1 single on the Mediabase Country chart with the powerful ‘She's Somebody's Daughter’. Baldridge is set to perform across the UK and Europe for the first time next month.
