Drake and his Better World Fragrance House are following up the success of their first two perfumes, ‘Summer Mink’ and ‘Cloudar’, with ‘DOSAYDO’, a brand new fragrance.
The name draws inspiration from the famous cowboy line-dance of the same name - often spelt ‘do-si-do’. Featuring a sultry red colorway, DOSAYDO is described as having notes of passionfruit, white wine spritz, cannabis, clary sage, black pepper, petitgrain, rose, cognac, white cedarwood and roasted tonka bean. It's likely the name ‘DOSAYDO’ doubles-up as a reference to the popular cannabis strain.
Although there's no official release date just yet, there are various reports suggesting DOSAYDO will be made available on October 24th, to coincide with Drake's 40th birthday.
While the DOSAYDO packaging and branding stays true to Better World Fragrance House's sleek, contemporary and elegant design language, the name's link to country music culture feels like the latest tip of the cap from Drake towards Nashville.
A few weeks ago, of course, Drake and Don Toliver released the remix of Ella Langley's country anthem ‘Choosin’ Texas’, titled ‘Solar Eclipse’, while the self-professed ‘6 God’ continues to flirt with the genre through both his lyrics and his clothing.
Just this week, for instance, the ‘God's Plan’ hitmaker showed up to the Toronto Raptors’ game against the Chicago Bulls - which saw Kawhi Leonard making a triumphant return for the Canadian team - donning a pair of bright, red cowboy boots.
This new perfume consolidates the Scorpion chart-topper's status as one of the most influential figures in today's culture, not only in terms of music, but also style and aesthetics.
The increasing array of items offered by Better World Fragrance House are all crafted by revered perfumer Michael Carby in partnership with Swiss manufacturer, Givaudan.
DOSAYDO is set to cement Better World Fragrance House, which Drake founded in 2021 with a candle collection, as one of the most exciting new brands in the perfume space. Both Summer Mink and Cloudar have been met with extremely positive reactions from fans, so we're excited for the imminent arrival of DOSAYDO.
With Drake also sharing a photo of him recording new music - despite having already released three albums, ICEMAN, HABIBTI and MAID OF HONOUR, in 2026 - we hope DOSAYDO serves as another hint at Drake's impending country crossover.
