The Long Road Festival has unveiled a new wave of performers for the much-loved event's 2024 instalment, with Don McLean set to take the main-stage as the second headiner.

Ticket-holders will no doubt be keenly looking forward to hearing McLean sing his legendary anthem, ‘American Pie’, as the sun sets over the now-iconic Long Road Festival sign in August.

Speaking ahead of the announcement, Don McLean shared his excitement, “I am delighted to return to England to perform at The Long Road Festival. Since I have decided to stop doing bus tours of distant destinations, I will still return for special performances. I love England and look forward to seeing my audience again”.

Joining Don McLean, who will be performing at The Long Road Festival as a UK exclusive, is Paula Cole. Attendees will be excited to witness the renowned singer-songwriter play fan-favourites such as ‘Where Have All The Cowboys Gone?’ and ‘I Don't Want To Wait’.

As well as McLean and Cole, The Long Road Festival has added Ron Pope, Robert Vincent, Alan Power & The Take Twos, Toby Sebastian, Georgia Van Etten, Jess Williamson, Katie Pruitt, Dylan Leblanc and Gangstagrass to the 2024 line-up.

Completing the Long Road's roster of new introductions is Campbell Jensen, The National Parks, Brooke Eden, Dolly Mavies, Gasoline & Matches, Georgia Van Etten, Joe Martin, Morganway, Scott Matthews, The Deep Blue and Two Ways Home.

Those lucky enough to get their hands on tickets to The Long Road Festival 2024 will also get the chance to see electrifying performances from the already-announced Russell Dickerson, The Red Clay Strays, Brittney Spencer, American Aquarium, Chapel Hart, Colbie Caillat, Flatland Cavalry, Randall King, Wyatt Flores and more.

Baylen Leonard, The Long Road Festival's Creative Director, underlined, “You can’t think about the last 60 odd years of American music and popular culture without the work of Don McLean springing to mind, so I couldn’t be more excited to present this legendary artist as our Saturday headliner. It will be the only chance to see him live in the UK this year, and with his timeless hits and having just made his Grand Ole Opry debut, this will be a moment to remember for Long Roaders for sure”.

Leonard went on to stress, “Alongside Don, we can’t wait to host even more of the acts we love so dearly at Stanford Hall in August, with some, like Paula Cole, making their first appearance in the UK with us. There really is something for everyone as we continue to celebrate all the different sounds under this big umbrella called country. It’s set to be a weekend filled with the chance to find new favourites and friends, as well as witnessing iconic moments for the ages… The countdown begins!”

Day tickets to The Long Road Festival 2024 are on-sale now.
