After a stellar three-day celebration of Americana music this weekend, Black Deer Festival has unveiled its official 2024 dates.
Another top-tier roster of performers will be making the trip to Kent's Eridge Park for the much-loved UK festival on June 14-16 2024. Following the confirmation of next year's dates, a limited selection of super early bird tickets have been made available.
The 2023 instalment of Black Deer Festival was another huge success, with swathes of UK Americana fans turning up to witness eye-catching sets from Nathaniel Rateliff, Bonnie Raitt, Melissa Carper, Willi Carlisle, Jude Brothers, Dylan Earl, Brennen Leigh and more.
Big Loud's fast-emerging Americana-country prodigy, Stephen Wilson Jr., also took the stage to perform an array of highlights from his burgeoning discography, including ‘billy’, ‘Year to Be Young 1994’, ‘Holler from the Holler’ and his new single, ‘Father's Søn’.
Stephen Wilson Jr. dropped ‘Father's Søn’ on the Friday before his hotly anticipated first Black Deer Festival 2023 set, with the evocative track serving as an exploration of a shifting sense of identity instigated by the loss of one's father.
The Black Deer crowd lapped it up, and helped to ensure Stephen Wilson Jr. enjoyed another fruitful trip across The Pond, following his appearance at Highways Festival 2023.
Although we excitingly now have the 2024 Black Deer Festival dates to look forward to, next year's line-up is yet to be confirmed. Nonetheless, given the festival's track record over the past few instalments, we're feeling confident it'll be another unmissable occasion.
