Dan + Shay Surprise Hailey Whitters with Platinum Plaque for ‘Everything She Ain't’

Dan + Shay surprised Hailey Whitters during a recent show to present the Iowa prodigy with her first ever Platinum plaque. Whitters earned the certification for her infectious 2022 single, ‘Everything She Ain't’.

Before taking the stage to give Hailey Whitters the special accolade, Dan + Shay underlined their love of the fast-emerging singer-songwriter, describing her as “one of our favourite artists of all time”.

They went on to stress ‘Everything She Ain't’ is “just the beginning for Hailey”, as well as emphasising how proud they are of her evolution into one of country music's most exciting new voices.

Unsurprisingly, Hailey Whitters was visibly moved by the unexpected revelation that she'd notched her first ever Platinum certification, in recognition of ‘Everything She Ain't’ racking up one million units.

‘Everything She Ain't’ is a jubilant, celebratory self-love anthem, with Hailey Whitters explaining exactly why she's a much better choice than another woman vying for her man's attention.

It appeared on her widely acclaimed 2022 album, Raised, which was selected as Holler's Album of the Year, and has also spawned fan-favourites such as ‘Plain Jane’ and ‘Boys Back Home’.

Last month, Hailey Whitters released her fun, uptempo single, ‘Tie'r Down’, as part of her 2023 I'm In Love EP, with the new track exploring similar themes to ‘Everything She Ain't’.
