The popular CMA Songwriters Series will make its return to the O2 next March as part of the tenth UK C2C Festival. A range of high-profile artists have been confirmed for the songwriters' round, including Lainey Wilson, Nate Smith and Dalton Dover.

Since its inauguration in 2005, the CMA Songwriters Series has established itself as one of the jewels in the C2C crown of events.

The performances are curated to introduce up-and-coming artists to new audiences, with the likes of Luke Combs, Maren Morris and Brandy Clark all playing some of their first ever UK shows through the series.

The 2023 roster so far will already be piquing the interest of UK country fans, particularly as Lainey Wilson continues to cement her position as the breakthrough artist of 2022. Lainey won two CMAs for New Artist of the Year and Female Vocalist of the Year, following the release of her traditional-leaning Bell Bottom Country album in October.

Since then, Lainey has maintained Yellowstone's blurring of lines between the worlds of country music and TV. Lainey plays Abby in the new season of the hugely popular, Montana-based serial drama, and has released two new songs via the show, ‘Smell Like Smoke’ and ‘New Friends’.

Fans will also be looking forward to seeing Nate Smith, who recently received two 2023 Grammy nominations, alongside Georgia's exciting new prospect, Dalton Dover.

Milly Olykan, CMA Vice President of International Relations and Development, underlined her excitement at the series' return, “Songwriters are the backbone of Country Music, so to be able to showcase them in this way to such appreciative fans is an incredible honor.

It is the perfect way to start the C2C weekend and we very much look forward to it once again”.

The event will take place on Thursday 9th March, and will help to kick off what looks set to be another electric instalment of C2C Festival.

Headliners for the three-day celebration of country music have been confirmed as Thomas Rhett, Lady A and Zac Brown Band.
