Chapel Hart Perform at the Chevy Vibes Stage at CMA Fest 2023

Explosive trio Chapel Hart took to the Chevy Vibes stage at CMA Fest 2023 Friday afternoon (June 9), delivering a scrumptious five-course set to the Nashville crowd.

Kicking off with the lead single of their recently released record, Glory Days, the three ladies–sisters Danica and Devynn and cousin Trea–were quick to show off their tight, honey-drenched harmonies.

"We're from a little town called Poplarville, Mississippi, and Mississippi isn't just a way of life. It's a volume, too. We are Mississippi loud and proud," they shared from the stage. "Before we go any further, we need to pay tribute to where it all started for us."

The ladies then flew into their standout tune, '4 Mississippi,' from the 2021 album, The Girls Are Back In Town. Thanks to it's easy-to-follow chorus counting, the girls also earned a healthy dose of audience participation on the beautifully performed track.

Taking a short break from their originals, Chapel Hart played a nearly perfect version of Fleetwood Mac's 'Break The Chain,' which was a notable highlight of the 30-minute set, and perhaps the whole weekend, as lead singer Danica's raspy growl captivated the audience.

The Mississippi girls, who first gained notoriety from their appearance on America's Got Talent with their response tune 'You Can Have Him Jolene,' explained to the Chevy Vibes audience how after they performed the song, Dolly had reached out to say how much she loved it. They went on to share that shortly after that, Loretta Lynn messaged them and told them to try the same secret formula with one of her songs.

"When Loretta asks, you deliver," Danica noted. "I feel like there's two types of women in the world: Dollys and Lorettas. Dolly said, 'Please don't take my man. I need him.' Loretta said, 'I will grab you by the hair on your head if I see you anywhere near him.' Loretta promised if she didn't leave him alone, she would take [the girl] to Fist City and she didn't listen, so we had to welcome her."

The Chapel Hart girls treated the crowd to 'Welcome to First City' before closing out their Chevy Vibes set with the rowdy 'The Girls Are Back In Town.'
