Carly Pearce has delivered a powerful rendition of the national anthem preceding the NFL NFC Championship game this past Sunday (24/1).
The socially distanced performance was broadcast on the big screen at Lambeau Field stadium, but was filmed in a separate location.
Her belting of 'The Star Spangled Banner', delivered with heart and gusto, was a brilliant start to what would be a thrilling match between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Green Bay Packers.
Tampa Bay would prevail, with quarterback Tom Brady’s side taking the victory by 31-26, securing a place in his 10th Super Bowl.
It has been a tough few months for Pearce; she announced last year that her and her husband Michael Ray were divorcing after eight months of marriage.
She would approach the topic in her single "I Hope You're Happy Now', a duet with Lee Brice which would be one of the Top 10-selling country songs of 2020, according to Billboard.
Recently, Pearce has been engaging more with fans on social media and sharing new, unreleased songs in acoustic performances filmed in music venues around Nashville. She first rose to fame in 2017 with her hit single 'Every Little Thing'.
