Carly Pearce recently scored her fourth Country Radio No. 1 with ‘What He Didn't Do’, which appeared on the Kentucky native's widely acclaimed 2021 album, 29: Written in Stone.
The much-loved project also brought Carly a trio of 2023 ACM nominations ahead of last month's ceremony. In addition, the chart-topping singer-songwriter revamped the record with a live version, 29: Written in Stone (Live From Music City), which dropped in March.
However, despite 29: Written in Stone still earning Carly Pearce a plethora of accolades and plaudits, the country star is wasting no time in turning her attention towards new music. Carly has been sprinkling a series of breadcrumbs on her social media pages, all hinting at the immanent release of a new song.
On Friday, June 2 2023, Carly took this to the next level by sharing the artwork for a brand new single. It originally featured the ‘I Hope You're Happy Now’ hitmaker sat in front of a blank wall, with the title blurred out.
Soon after, Carly revealed the track is called ‘We Don't Fight Anymore’, and that - excitingly - it includes a very special guest, Chris Stapleton. ‘We Don't Fight Anymore’ is about the spark of love having been extinguished, leaving both lovers cold and apathetic.
The single artwork followed Carly Pearce's previously posted photo from the studio, confirming she's been working on fresh music.
In early August last year, Carly delighted fans by announcing her next single would be ‘Country Music Made Me Do It’, describing the new track as “the essence of this next chapter for me”. The revelation was excitingly accompanied with news of a Fall 2023 tour of the same name.
On March 1st 2024 Carly released the title track to the upcoming album, Hummingbird, and it looks set for release on June 14th.
With song titles like 'Woman To Woman,' 'Still Blue,' and 'Fault Line' it looks like it's going to be another modern country masterpiece.
Any new release from Carly is a cause for celebration - so it's safe to say we won't have any need to ‘Hide the Wine’...
